The reader supports ISO 7816 Parts 1-4 Class A B C cards, microprocessor cards using T=0 and T=1 protocols, and a wide range of smart card use cases including CAC, MyKad, Emirates ID, PIV, J-LIS, and SIPRNET. It offers smart card read and write speeds from 9.6 to 600 Kbps, short circuit protection on all pins, a 4.8 MHz clock frequency, 5 V supply, and USB bus power with no external adapter required. The unit measures 72.2 x 69.0 x 14.5 mm and weighs about 65 g, with a 1.5 m fixed USB Type-A cable on the standard variant.
