The Fischer PowerFast II 8.0x120 TK TX TG blvz 50 is a wood construction screw designed for demanding fastening applications in solid timber, glued laminated timber and wood-to-metal connections such as brackets and beam hangers. It has a diameter of 8.0 mm, an overall length of 120 mm and a partial thread length of approximately 80 mm, making it suitable for firmly pulling timber components together. The TK countersunk head enables a flush finish, while the TX40 drive ensures reliable torque transfer. The screw is made of steel with a blue passivated zinc-plated finish free of hexavalent chromium and features a high-performance wax coating to reduce driving resistance. Its tip geometry with three ribs supports fast bite and reduced wood splitting, while the patented shank and milling geometry improves chip removal and enables smaller edge distances. The underhead geometry with double cone and milling pockets helps achieve a clean finish without damaging timber or metal fittings.
