The Arosta 304L welding electrode is a rutile basic coated MMA (Manual Metal Arc) electrode specifically designed for welding austenitic Cr-Ni steels, including 304L stainless steel and equivalent materials.

Material: The electrode is made from stainless steel, specifically 304L, which is known for its excellent corrosion resistance in oxidizing environments such as nitric acid.

Coating: The electrode features a rutile basic coating, which provides strong and consistent welds.

Welding Positions: It is suitable for all welding positions, including:

  • PA/1G
  • PB/2F
  • PC/2G
  • PF/3G up
  • PE/4G

Diameter and Length: The electrode is available in various diameters (1.5 mm, 2.0 mm, 2.5 mm, 3.2 mm, and 4.0 mm) and lengths (typically 350 mm).

Current Range: The recommended current range varies by diameter:

  • 1.5 mm: 70A to 100A
  • 2.0 mm: 100A to 140A
  • 2.5 mm: 140A to 180A
  • 3.2 mm: 180A to 250A
  • 4.0 mm: 250A to 450A

Additional Features: The electrode is easy to use, with a smooth welding form and strong coating that facilitates easy slag removal. It can be welded with either AC or DC power sources.
