The Sky-Watcher SynScan Kit for EQ5 (MPN: SW-4251, EAN: 5901691603523, SKU: WLONONWCRDHYZ) is a GoTo upgrade kit designed to convert EQ5/NEQ5-class equatorial mounts (and similar mounts such as Vixen GP, Meade LXD55/LX70) into fully motorized, computerized mounts. The kit includes high-precision stepper motors for RA and DEC, motor housings and cables, a SynScan hand controller and control box, power cable (cigarette-lighter type), mounting hardware, tools and user manual. Key features: SynScan hand controller with large object database (up to ~42,900 objects depending on firmware), One/Two/Three-star alignment, PEC, ST-4 autoguider port, ASCOM-compatible PC control, firmware upgradeable, multiple slew and tracking rates (sidereal, lunar, solar), backlash compensation and Pointing Accuracy Enhancement (PAE). Typical max payload ~9 kg; recommended power 11–15 V DC, 2 A. This kit does not include the mount or tripod itself and is supplied as an upgrade package for compatible mounts. Ideal for visual observing and astrophotography when combined with a suitable telescope and mount.
