The Mellanox MMA2P00-AS is a genuine NVIDIA/Mellanox SFP28 optical transceiver module for 25GbE short-range Ethernet connections over multimode fiber. It operates at a nominal wavelength of 850 nm and supports data rates up to 25 Gbps, with reach up to 100 m on OM4 MMF and 70 m on OM3 MMF at 25 Gb/s, and up to 100 m on OM3 at 10 Gb/s. This hot-pluggable transceiver is compliant with IEEE 802.3bm, 10GBASE-SR/25GBASE-SR, and SFP28 MSA standards. It includes digital diagnostic monitoring over I2C (temperature, voltage, optical power), selectable Tx/Rx retiming, programmable equalization and emphasis controls, a VCSEL transmitter, PIN receiver, and Class 1 laser safety. The module uses a duplex LC/UPC optical connector, runs on 3.3 V power, and has low power consumption under 1 W. It is designed for reliable high-performance networking in data centers and enterprise Ethernet environments.
