The Keychron J5 is a full-size 100% wireless mechanical keyboard with 108 keys and ANSI layout. It supports Bluetooth 5.2, 2.4 GHz wireless with a 1000 Hz polling rate, and wired USB-C connectivity. It is powered by QMK firmware and Keychron Launcher for deep customization, including key remapping, macros, shortcuts, and more. The keyboard includes Last Key Priority for gaming, a plug-and-play Type-A 2.4 GHz receiver, and NKRO support in both wired and wireless modes. This configuration uses Keychron Super Red switches and supports hot-swapping with 3-pin and 5-pin MX-style switches without soldering. It features double-shot PBT keycaps with Cherry profile or MDA profile depending on version, plus per-key RGB backlighting with 22+ effects and a white backlight version. Its layered acoustic design includes IXPE, PET, and EPDM foams for improved sound and typing feel. The keyboard has an ABS case, PCB-mounted stabilizers, adjustable typing angles of 2.4° and 8.2°, and a 3750 mAh battery. It is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux, and offers up to about 300 hours of battery life with backlight off or about 172 hours at low RGB brightness.
