Description
The IOGEAR GSR205 is a TAA-compliant USB-C CAC smart card reader built for secure authentication in government, military, healthcare, banking, and other protected environments. It supports CAC and PIV cards and provides fast, reliable access to restricted networks. The reader features a USB-C interface with reversible connection, power and scan LED indicators, direct contact card insertion to reduce misalignment, and broad compatibility with Windows, macOS, and Linux systems. It supports ISO 7816 Class A, B, and C cards, EMV2000 Level 1, and 5V, 3V, and 1.8V cards. CAC middleware software is not included. The device is compact, black in color, and designed as a portable contact-type smart card reader.
