It uses a FlexibleLOM form factor and can connect through one FlexibleLOM slot or PCI Express 2.0 x8 lane architecture. The adapter features two 10Gb SFP+ ports supporting Direct Attach Copper cables and SR fiber optic modules. It is powered by the Intel 82599 network controller and supports a wide set of enterprise networking features including Jumbo Frames, Large Send Offload, Receive Side Scaling, TCP/UDP checksum offload, TCP Segmentation Offload, VLAN tagging, NIC teaming/bonding, PXE boot, IPv6, Wake on LAN, MSI-X, low latency interrupts, hardware acceleration for stateless TCP/IP, and IEEE 1588 time stamping. Virtualization support includes Intel VT-c, VMDq, SR-IOV, VMware NetQueue, and Microsoft VMQ.
