A visible LED provides a pulse indicator that blinks with each beat. The board includes a sensitivity adjustment resistor (R1) to tune the output signal amplitude and an analog output that provides the pulse waveform to an MCU analog input. The module implements filtering to reduce mains interference (50Hz/60Hz). Typical operating voltage is 3.3V–5V. Suitable for hobbyist heart rate projects, Arduino learning, wearables and prototyping.
