The Katadyn Vario Filter is a versatile and efficient water filtration system designed for outdoor enthusiasts, particularly hikers, backpackers, and campers. This compact and lightweight filter is perfect for small groups, accommodating up to three people.

Featuring a dual-action pump, the Katadyn Vario Filter allows users to choose between two modes: Longer Life and Faster Flow. In Longer Life mode, turbid water is prefiltered through a ceramic disk, which provides an output of approximately 1 liter per minute. This mode is ideal for filtering murky water, ensuring that the durable glass fiber filter lasts longer.

On the other hand, the Faster Flow mode bypasses the ceramic pre-filter, allowing for an output of up to 2 liters per minute when pumping clear water.

The filter system includes three stages of filtration:
