The Aten VS162 is a 2-port DVI video splitter designed to duplicate and amplify one DVI video and audio input to two DVI outputs. It supports both DVI-Digital and DVI-Analog formats and is suitable for advanced computer users, professional AV setups, and educational environments. The splitter offers HDCP compatibility, DDC, DDC2, and DDC2B support on port 1 only, plus DDC/CI support for compatible LCD monitors for color, brightness, and contrast adjustments via GUI. It supports audio and audio signals, and can be cascaded up to 3 levels to distribute up to 8 video signals. Maximum supported Single Link resolution is up to 1920 x 1200. Cascade distance is 1.8 m from source to device and 5 m device to device or device to display. Compatible operating systems include Windows 2000, Windows XP, Linux, Mac, and Sun.
