Detailed Description
The history of the Polonez begins at the end of 1972, when the FSO product development line was established at the highest party level. For cost-saving reasons, the FSO Polonez was constructed on the floor pan of the Polski Fiat 125p, from which other technical solutions were also adopted. For this reason, the car inherited most of its predecessor' s flaws: a weak, outdated engine, a short wheelbase and a large turning radius. However, the Polonez was better equipped than the Polski Fiat: it had more comfortable seats and a richer dashboard. In the series 07 zg?o? si? porucznik Borewicz used Polonez cars manufactured between 1978 and 1987. This is where their common name Borewicz comes from.
